Almost every call we get starts with the same question in some form: do I need a deep clean or just a regular clean? The two services get quoted very differently, so it is worth understanding what actually separates them before you book.
A regular cleaning is maintenance. It covers the surfaces you interact with every day — kitchen counters, the stovetop, the sink, bathroom fixtures, toilets, mirrors, visible dusting, vacuuming and mopping. It is designed to be repeated on a schedule, and each visit builds on the last one. A regular clean assumes the space is already in reasonable shape and keeps it there.
A deep cleaning is a reset. It covers everything a regular clean does and then goes after the build-up that accumulates out of sight: baseboards and door frames, light switches and outlet plates, the tops of door casings, cabinet fronts and interiors, appliance interiors, tile grout, shower door tracks, window sills and tracks, vents, ceiling fans and the floor area beneath furniture that gets moved for the occasion.
The practical difference is time. A regular clean on a three-bedroom home might take a crew two to three hours. A deep clean on the same house frequently runs five to seven. That is not padding — it is the hours it genuinely takes to hand-wipe trim, scrub grout and empty out cabinets.
So which do you need? If nobody has cleaned behind the appliances in over a year, if grout has darkened, if you are moving in or out, if you are listing the property, or if you are about to start a recurring service for the first time — you want a deep clean. If a professional has been through the space within the last few months and you just need it maintained, a regular clean is the right call.
The most cost-effective pattern we see is one deep clean up front followed by a recurring regular schedule. Starting maintenance from a genuinely clean baseline means each visit accomplishes more, and you never need another full deep clean unless something changes.
If you are not sure which side of the line your home falls on, we will tell you honestly during the walkthrough. We would rather quote the right service than sell you hours you do not need.
